Brush Fire

May 3rd to 4th in 2010, there was brush fire in West Maui. It burned more than 1,100 acres. 100 people evacuated but no injuries, no property damage.

At night on 3rd. I went Lahaina to see a magic show and happened to see the brushfire.

In the afternoon on 4th. They were still trying to put fire out.

Two helicopters were making steady effort by using water from ocean...

Pay attention to the colors of the mountain.... It is burned.

Brush Fire, again

We have many brush fire on Maui. It’s been only a month from previous one, yet West Maui is burning again. Hope it will die down soon. I took this picture from Wailea Beach, South Maui. I thought the fire and relaxing beach view made an interesting sight.
